Brian Skutle's Csound Podcast
Submitted by bslemurgeekmusic on Sat, 09/20/2008 - 19:01.This podcast is dedicated to my delvings into Csound I made in college, as well as recent explorations in reacquainting myself with the program. All of the pieces currently available for listen here were projects done for class, so some may not be as complex as others, but in returning to the program for a project I'm currently working on, I hope to go further into my study and work with the program. These pieces were created in 1999 and 2000 as I was studying Csound with Dr. Robert Scott Thompson at Georgia State University.
Assembling the Commadore 64
Submitted by Maelstorm on Sat, 08/09/2008 - 04:15.This piece was written for the 6 Hour Contest in Dr. B's Csound class at Berklee. The piece was put together in six hours using sounds derived from the Csound Catalog. I used Peak to chop up samples, which I put in Reason's samplers. I sequenced it in Logic. I spent the first five and a half hours going back and forth between editing, rendering, and chopping instruments and composing. The last half hour was mixing.
